Business Development Manager

They’re an extremely well known international brand with a strong presence in New Zealand. They’re in the competitive business of freight forwarding and have an excellent client base.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a hunting role with business opportunities in and around Auckland. Travel will be required in the role and you will need to identify new business opportunities and close off the sale. 

ABOUT YOU

We’re looking for a driven individual, preferably with experience in domestic transport, eager to transition into the freight forwarding sector. The ideal candidate will also have the following skills:

  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Driven to succeed
  • Thinks outside the box and will use your initiative
  • Attention to detail
  • A team player with the ability to work well under pressure
  • Pro-active and resourceful with excellent time management
  • Must be able to take ownership
  • B2B solution selling experience  
  • Cold calling experience
  • Strong communication; verbal and written
  • Excellent negotiation and numerical skills
  • Professional attitude and presentation as well as highly motivated
  • A thirst for challenges, and you’re not afraid of hard work
  • Be able to seal the deal
