ABOUT THE ROLE
The role reports directly into the Managing Director and is a hunting role so you need to be prepared to pick up the phone and cold call clients. The building industry is a very competitive sector so you will need to build your own brand and reputation. The role will involve networking outside of hours so you will need to be able to commit to this also. You will have access to a database of clients to start you off with so you can hit the ground running.
We are ideally looking for a BDM who has been in the building industry and has had previous success and can show that to us. You need to be very resilient and focussed on achieving sales targets and of course know how to close a sale. You of course will also show the below attributes;
- B2B solution selling experience
- Build and establish rapport quickly
- Cold calling experience
- Strong time management
- Strong communication; verbal and written
- Excellent negotiation and numerical skills
- Professional attitude and presentation as well as highly motivated
- A thirst for challenges, and you’re not afraid of hard work
- Excellent computer skills
